Walking into a museum my mind is set to an open net ready to catch whatever is thrown at me. There are many great painters out there, but those select ones that can make you emotionally floored are the ones that last a lifetime. That is my main goal as an artist. I try to portray images that everyone can relate to. I am focusing on viewing the figure in a new light. My work has transformed into a study of human stature and posture. I love how you can understand a person by how they hold themselves. I love to dig so deep into a image that it creates a whole new idea. I want to give the viewer just enough so that they can get an idea about what is happening, but bring the answer further themselves. My paintings become a constant reminder for me of moments in my life that meant something. Whether they are, reminders of loved ones or lost ones or bringing me from one lesson to the next. As these lessons are learned, my paintings move and change as I would. Everyday I am learning about my self and my art. I am constantly trying to find my balance. My works are in a transition everyday, developing, and changing with me. As I change, they change.
